Jason Levar McClain earned a general transfer/university parallel Associate of Science degree in Fall 2024. A Tennessee Reconnect student, McClain served as a student worker for the Columbia State Student Engagement department and assisted with many student events. After completing his degree, McClain plans to continue his studies at Tennessee State University. He credits Columbia State for being a supportive environment, especially for non-traditional students like himself.

“Returning to college as a non-traditional student was a big step, but Columbia State made it feel like home,” McClain said. “I am grateful for the guidance from the faculty and staff, and I look forward to continuing my education at Tennessee State.”
